Autonomous Communities for Reproductive and Abortion Support (ACRAS) is a bilingual, multicultural, feminist grassroots collective based in Los Angeles, CA that provides knowledge/ information and abortion doula support to People of Color in the area, using a Reproductive Justice (RJ) framework. ACRAS aims to provide free, comprehensive, and non-biased reproductive health knowledge through direct services (or referrals). Reproductive liberation and body autonomy FOR EVERYONE!
As a group comprised of womxn and queer people of color, we aim to provide knowledge shares and doula services to poor/working-class people of color. Our understanding of the limitations and challenges that impact the availability of resources and access to services ignites our passion to abolish the stigma, shame, and silence that surrounds abortions and OUR reproductive health decisions. We are here to support our communities in reclaiming their bodies and making the best informed decisions for themselves. Through collaboration and co-empowerment, it is possible to reimagine a world where we create and maintain sustainable autonomous healthy communities!
